Dana Point Surf

Tried a square format with this one. This is also all painting knives. The beach view is of Dana Point, California, and the sky is from my head. I'm going to have to try and photograph this one as a whole again at some point. The pic didn't turn out well at all. Including some details shots. Thanks for looking.

"Dana Point Surf"
30" x 30", oil on strecthed linen, palette knife

I like the way the land in the picture actually looks like it is trying to reach the sea, instead of the sea rushing to meet it. Very nice and no brushes? Amazing

I love the texturized look of the palette knife. The cloud formation is just gorgeous here as is the curve of the shoreline. Beautiful!

I think painting a coastline with a palette knife is difficult. Your colors are so light but the painting is serene.

I don't know a whole lot about art, but I know what I like. THIS I like. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

When I look at this painting, I feel the wind on my face and hear the water sh-sh-shwooshing, loving the immediate evocacy of this work.
