Beyond the Cedar

Started this one outside today, but was annoyed by sweat-bees to the point of stopping at only 30 minutes in. These weren't the cute little, miniature dragonfly looking sweat-bees. These were the stinging, over-fed, ant looking ones. Got stung 6 or 8 times and packed it up. Gotta get more deet. Finished up in the studio.

Sunday Afternoon at the Pond

It was fun painting in the heat with all the cow manure around. I felt like Pigpen with the flies bugging me. I kept swishing my butt to keep them off...to no avail.

Bridge Over Big Renox

I've been working on this one off and on for a while now. Started on location. Wasn't happy with parts of it, so I took the editing brush out of the bag.

Mill Springs Trail

Painted for the second time at Mill Springs in Wayne County, Kentucky yesterday. Talked to a lot of people. And had a great time. I see many more paintings for me at that park.

Tending the Tobacco Crop

Painted in Waterview, Kentucky this morning. Always a good area to find a subject.

Rope Swing

Painted at the lake today. Stood in the warm water. This tree with the rope swing has been used for long time in this swimming area.
