A snow storm blew through last night and dumped about 5 to 6 inches here in town. I took the opportunity to try another plein air snowscape, even though the temperature was pretty cold and the wind was blowing a bit. I took shelter next to a building which kept a lot of the wind off me as I painted. This one is close to being finished, but I'll probably tweak the values of the building a little.
I'm including a detail shot and a shot of me and my layers. ;)

you match! you are wearing red and surrounded by white and the barn in the painting is red and surrounded by white!
Bill,
Nice treatment of the trees.
Very Nice!
I love this painting
I think this is gorgeous, Bill. I love winter scenes in paintings and that pop of red is beautiful. I am intrigued by that house up on the hill...
Ha! That's good observation, Kelsie. Maybe I picked the subject subliminally.
Thanks William. Trees freak me out, man!
Thanks Carl.
Appreciate the kind words, AutumnLeaves.
Amazing work, Bill. I moan about doing quick sketches in the cold - you must have anti-freeze instead of blood!
Can't wait to find out where we're all travelling to next on VP.
Beautiful the best word to describe you paintings.
