LA Reds

...and now, for something completely different.

If I keep pushing myself I might get to my destination someday. This painting is one that had me out of my comfort zone from the get go.

"LA Reds"
24" x 48", oil on stretched linen

Nice. Seems to have an art-deco-ish feel.

That's gorgeous! How long does oil paint take to dry? Are the materials more expensive than watercolor?

I don't know if I ever rembember seeing a composition quite like this, Bill. The one street takes me deep into your painting and it usually ends there, but then I come back to see what's down the other street. It did keep me in there looking around, and that is what every artist wants.

Nice composition. I'm trying to get a sense of where you might have been out of your comfort zone (the color perchance?) If so - you nailed it. Way to push.
