Lakeside

Here's today's effort. Did this one from a plein air study and a photograph of the scene, from Dale Hollow Lake a few weeks back. The PA was horrible. Including a pic of me painting the PA.

24" x 30", oil on canvas

The painting turned out awesome! I guess if you use pics from all over the world, your allowed to use your own. You do gain street cred though for this extreme pa attempt. Looks like it was taken from a tree.
We boated there when I was a kid.

Look at the life your water has! And that ground looks quite real as well. I think it is a nice painting, Bill. I find myself wondering how you got wet to the waist though! LOLOL

Hi Jill. Thanks. The lake is only a few miles from town. I really should get there more often.

Hi Autumn. I'm pretty happy with the results. It was very hot that day, so I waded out a few times while painting.

Hey Bill,
Congrats on all the success! I really like the Dale Hollow work. Reminds me of my days fishing and enjoying the lake there.
On a different note. I asked my dad about you and your father and he remembers you both :)
Small world.
