We had quite the little storm roll through today. Our editor, Cyndi, took these pics. The first shows how the clouds looked as they came over the hill into town; the next shows the cloud bank as it moved over town; and the next shows a spinning hole, into which the clouds were being pulled, sucked, drawn, whatever you want to call it. Close call.

Amazing pictures! If you painted this, people wouldn't believe it--at least in this part of the country.
Ew! Looks like you got the makings of a tornado! I've lived in different parts of tornado alley all of my life. That looks pretty ugly! Hope all was safe!
Hi Ed and Kaye. It was pretty hairy there for a few minutes. I just kept waiting for it to drop down out of the cloud. Then the rain opened up and it seemed to break up a bit. Of course it was probably still there, we just couldn't see it.
Pretty incredible looking at it close up though.
