Jonesport, Maine

Did this one from Street View tonight. While working from a photo ref, I did try to give the feeling of being there. Hope my light came across as I intended.

10" x 22", oil on birch

Bill, this Jonesport Maine is among your best! It has a definite Hopper feel to it! BTW, I did a "back to the land" thing in Burkesville back in 1972!

I love this painting. It reminds me of everything that is good across small towns in America. I think that is my favorite thing about your America series. Ghandi said that "India lives in its villages." Well, America lives in its small towns and you have captured them beautfully. I love watching your progress.

Another nice piece Bill. Shadows bring any landscape to life and that is certainly the case here. By the way, how are you going about storing all of the work you have produced?

Hey Glenn. How did you end up in Burkesville? There are a few left here that did the same thing about the same time.

Hello Mick. My home and workplace are filling up quickly. I have painted over some of my early stuff though. ;)
