Did this one from Street View tonight. While working from a photo ref, I did try to give the feeling of being there. Hope my light came across as I intended.

This is my first still life with a bunch of small limbs in front of me. Pretty daunting to say the least.

Low Tide

This is one of the largest paintings I've attempted. Quite a change from all those tiny 5" x 7" knife paintings I've been doing for the last month and a half.

This one measures 30" x 40", and is Classic Artist Oil on birch panel, and was painted with brushes for a change. I started it last night, worked on it a bit before going to work this morning, then at lunch, and finally this afternoon/evening.

Not sure if it's finished to tell you the truth. Think I'll look at it for a couple of days. Any thoughts, comments or suggestions are more than welcome.

Ranch

Not classifying this one as one of the state series, even though it was painted using GSV. I'm trying to keep all of that series 5" x 7". This one is 8" x 13.5". Why you ask? I thought I had a frame that size, but now I can't find it. This painting was a mixture of brushwork (background hills and sky) and knifework (everything else).

Bear Creek Studio Painting

Working loosely from the plein air study done a couple of days ago, I tried a relatively fast studio version. As you can see I changed a lot. The main part of the water that looks so white is in fact less washed out than it appears. That part didn't photograph well. I tried to keep it loose and spontaneous. Don't know if that happened though.
