Bogalusa Plant - Louisiana
I've painted a few really quick ones lately. Exercises really. Messy and simple. Trying to push myself beyond the comfortable stage. I know most of these are not to everyone's taste or liking, and that's more than okay with me. I like 'em.
Take this one for instance. I opened Google, went to maps, zoomed in on a town in Louisiana called Bogalusa. Never heard of it before. Picked a spot at random, and told myself I was going to paint whatever was there in 15 minutes. I did give myself the option of turning around, but not moving up or down the street.
I'm posting the small painting, done with palette knife to about 99%, with a couple of strokes of a small brush.
5" x 7", o/c, thoughts welcome
