Chopping Cotton

Did this one today. About half at lunch, and the other after work. Limited palette of Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Winsor Yellow, white and black.

This is a really powerful piece. It reminds me of the qualities of old sepia toned photos from a long ago era.
Once again, I'm so taken with how you achieve so much with so few colors.

Stunning work. And in one day!

Thanks Bonnie. The limited palette really seems to work well for me when I'm going for that earthen type feeling.

I see you live on St. Croix? I lived on St. John for about 6 months years ago. Love the islands.

Had a buddy move to St. Croix from Colorado a few years ago also. He and his wife bought a restaurant. He went by Smokie at the time.
