Painting #1000 - Philadelphia

I started painting in 2008, and quickly set up a blog to track my progress. With a blog you can add tags to help organize and easily find things. One of my tags is "oil." If I post an oil painting I will tag it with "oil", as this was an easy way for me to see how many paintings I've done. There have been many that didn't make it back to the car from the field, and there have been many that got wiped in the studio,, so the oil tag doesn't count everything, just those I thought were worth posting at the time.

Schmuck

I painted this one of a jewelry store and was searching for a translation of jewelry to German for the title, since the reference is in a German speaking area. What I found was the word "schmuck." Interesting. This is the 201st painting of the year for me.

Doel Nuclear Power Station

This will be the fifth and final (probably) small nuclear painting I'm sending to Abend Gallery in Denver for the Holiday Miniatures Show next month. Please pardon the glare of wet paint. I'm finding it more difficult to photograph the darker paintings these days. May be time for a new camera.
