Here's a quick oil sketch I did this evening before the sun went behind the hills. Took about an hour, trying to get the colors down. Will probably use this one as a study for a larger piece.

This is so lovely. The reflections in the water and the softness of the trees create such a nice feeling. I like how the water curves through the painting, and the tree branches point the way along the path.
