Landscape with Oak and Cedar

Painted this one at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park today. Another hot one. Got eaten up with turkey mites also. If you've never had them, good on you. Hope you never do. It's like a combination chigger and no-see-um on steroids. UGH!

I've had tons of chigger bites and can't imagine having one on steroids! Bless your heart. The things we do for art huh? Looks like it was worth it! This painting is very lovely. Glad you stayed with it! :)

Thanks Monica and Itaya. I'm pretty happy with the results.

And I caught the turkey mites before they got too bad. I got into them once before and didn't know what to do. Had hundreds of bites by the next day. It was awful. Figured out the only way to kill them is lice shampoo. Embarrassing at the store, but the relief is worth it. ;)

The way you have captured the summer plants in the ground is just wonderful!

So sorry about the bites, they sound awful :(

Love this!
Could have been worse...those mites could have been swattin' at ya with stinging nettles.

Beautiful painting I like the distant light green and how it draws your attention through the forest of trees and beyond.I love all your plein air paintings and you are motivating me to do some as well.
