Barns - revisited

I had painted the original Barns back in early August. It was a very quick, 45 minute effort, that afternoon. I recently got the painting out and put it on my easel to see what adjustments I could make to it. I had liked the previous composition, and thought I might be able to take it to the next level. This is the result.

Autumn Breath

Painted in a beautiful location today. Wind kicked up a few times, and the air was brisk. I love this time of year.

Courthouse Square

Painted most of this large canvas outside over the last couple of days, and worked on it in the studio some. I have signed it but will do a few more small adjustments.

This one will be auctioned off at the Esther House Evening of Hope event coming up on November 2 at Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park.

Otter Creek Bridge

I've worked on this one off and on for a couple of years now. I like this latest version...I think.

Pioneer Village

I took part in the 2nd annual Plein Air Paint Out in Owensboro, Kentucky this past weekend and painted four pieces, submitted two, but fired a blank this time. No winner, no chicken dinner. That's okay, though. I had a great time staying with family, catching up with artists friends, and meeting new ones.
