To Have and To Hold
Did this little plein air piece this morning at the local park in town. It feels good to lean more toward the impressionist side of things.

Good Vibrations
I took a large, 30" x 40", stretched canvas out yesterday afternoon in the hopes of filling it with beautiful, luscious paint. I decided on a scene of rolling hills, trees, and distant mountains. I set up my gear beside a road going to Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park and talked to quite a few folks that stopped in the road. Had my picture taken by a few also. It was a very enjoyable excursion.
I'm including some pics of the work in progress, as well as the finished painting.

Painting with my Tri-County Coffee Mug
I love painting early in the morning. Especially outdoors. Listening to the birds and insects. The mooing and chomping of the cows. I also drink coffee while painting in the mornings. It's relaxing and seems to put me in a calm mood to start the day. Thanks to Tri-County EMC for providing the mug. It works great.
