I seem to be drawn (no pun inteneded) to railroad crossing scenes without trains. I'm sure a good psychoanalyst could tell me why. I think it's the starkness. The general dirtiness. Who knows... :)
"Pecos Street, Denver"
5" x 7", oil on canvas panel, palette knife

As long as you don't end up in front of one, .... (-:
ReplyDeleteLovely painting, good lead inn and nice color use!!
You like painting places but you don't want the train in it because you won't be on it and you like to travel and see places. This is a 5 x 7 nice little size.
ReplyDeleteYour work is one of my favorite surprises on the internet. What's the largest canvas you've painted? I'm surprised by how small some of them are -- for some reason I imagine them to be much larger. This one, for instance, seems life-sized in my mind's eye.
ReplyDeleteHi Rene. Thanks. I'll stay off the tracks. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks TechnoBabe. I think you are probably correct.
ReplyDeleteHi Mrs. L. Nice to meet you. Thanks for the kind words. I think 30" x 40" is probably my largest yet. I do love doing these small knife paintings though. They're so much fun.
